Preparations for Sound Thought, the University of Glasgow’s annual postgraduate music festival and conference, are underway with a record number of submissions. The event, which is free to attend, will take place between 30th March and 1st April at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) and other venues in Glasgow. Sound Thought welcomes papers, compositions, performances, fixed-media works, and installations of any artistic discipline, so long as they draw in some way on the aesthetics of music and sound. A new feature for 2016 is an open workshop with Glasgow New Music Expedition in which members of the ensemble will work through pre-selected compositions submitted by participants, culminating with a concert at the CCA.

The programme for Sound Thought will shortly be available at the festival’s website. Follow Sound Thought on Facebook for updates!
